Meet Tutor Aylan Rosely Rosales

Hello,

My name is Aylan Rosely Rosales, and I love tutoring English Essay writing! I recently obtained three associate degrees from West Los Angeles College, an AA-T in English, an AA in Liberal Arts & Sciences: Arts & Humanities and an AA in Behavioral & Social Sciences. I am a first-generation Latina woman; my mother is from Guatemala and my father was from El Salvador. My mom raised me by herself, and her example has taught me to work hard, to not give up, and to learn how to evolve to be better. I transferred to UCLA and will be obtaining my BA in Linguistics and English in 2027. So yes! I am still in school, and I understand what a student’s day to day is like, and what is required of a student who wants to thrive academically.

I went to Orion International Academy and graduated in 2022. I became a tutor out of necessity, to get my volunteer hours fulfilled, but the truth is I had no idea the skills and invaluable knowledge I was obtaining by learning how to teach ESL to students in China. I had the experience and at WLAC I was given a chance to be able to tutor there college level English and essay writing.

My passion for an education in English, started with my love for writing, and my curiosity for becoming a better more proficient writer. As a tutor, I believe my duty is to meet the student where they are at and focus their strengths to encourage them of their capability.

Tutoring Focus:

To help students feel heard, and to give them a safe space to learn at their own pace or in their own tradition. I encourage that we learn the student’s learning style and go from

there. It might be refreshing for the student, trying a new way of learning, getting them to be engaged even further than before.

On a Personal Note:

I love my family, and my cats, they are my motor. Metaphor intended. I am a big English, Cinema, TV Show nerd, and I honestly believe learning is fun!
